Due date is March 10. We’re 6 weeks in. I guess I’m working on a basketball team.

Zoë came through with flying colors and is doing so well that she doesn’t have to go back for a year. I can finally take a breath… been nervous all morning.

Big day coming up as Zoë gets tested in Charleston meanwhile I’ll have Xander at his mental health doctor. Xander is covered by insurance… Zoe is $4 thousand out of pocket. Good times.
Fall TV Schedule Take 1
Posted on September 26, 2007 - Filed Under TV
The fall tv schedule is upon us. I’ve watched 2 new shows so far this week. Chuck which had an interesting premise but was painful to watch. I usually assume the first episode of a show might not be great since they have to set the stage for everything. Chuck was beyond bad though. My wife plans on giving it another chance but my life is too short to sit through another hour of that junk. I definitely won’t be watching it again. The other show I saw this week was The Big Bang Theory. I actually liked it but I must admit that I doubt it has any chance of sticking around for very long. I’m not sure there’s enough of an audience for geek humor.

Zoë is officially Zoë. It’s all nice and legal now. I even had to take the witness stand in court yesterday. It’s good to have that behind us though.
New Hosting

I’m in the process of moving all my sites to a new host. I liked my old host but the new one gives me more for the money.
6 months old

Zoë turned 6 months old today. We talked about having an informal party since she went through so much to make it this far but our court date is coming up in a week so we decided to wait until then. She goes back into the hospital this Tuesday but it’s only supposed to be an outpatient test. Anytime she gets put to sleep I get nervous though.
Gmail and other google tools

I finally gave up on thunderbird about a week ago. It’s a nice email client but I could never get the junk mail filters to be very useful. I use Outlook on my personal machine but these days I spend all my time on my work laptop and Outlook handles my work mail there…. I don’t like mixing the two. Thunderbird’s suckiness caused me to move all my pop3 accounts to gmail. So far, this has been a brilliant move. The only hiccup was a virus email that gmail wouldn’t download but left on the server. I wish it would download it and clean the email then simply mark as junk but nothing is perfect.
Thanks to the pop3 gmail move I can handle most of my record keeping from my personalized google homepage. I long ago switched my blog reader to google reader and I also use google notebook to handle my action lists for each day. I just started using google spreadsheets too so everything can all be managed from one place. Side note: google spreadsheets are veeeeeery basic. As a single user tool, I had more functionality on my Apple IIe back in the 80’s.
