I’ve been using Backpack lately and I must say that I really like it. Very slick. I wish I had a project to work on to try Basecamp. Man, that looks awesome. Both of these apps are written in Ruby on Rails which is supposed to be the big php killer. Note to self: learn how to use Ruby.

I’ve been meaning to learn ruby as well. i saw http://www.intertwingly.net/blog/2005/08/09/Rails-Confidence-Builder and thought you might be interested. do you know if your host supports ruby or not? maybe we should do the “disc golf” project in ruby (pfft like i would have time to commit to that) …
Sadly, my host doesn’t support ruby right now. I could ask them if they would be interested in installing it though. They do a good job of keeping the latest version of php on the server. Maybe they’ll see it as a free marketing tool. I would love to do the “disc golf” project in ruby. I had planned on trying to talk them into installing python anyway.
