Here’s my quick thoughts of some of the new tv shows I’ve seen so far. This is based on the 1st show which can be hard to get a read on since they have to set the back story.
Bones, Supernatural - Potential? The jury is still out on these two.
Kitchen Confidential - So so. I doubt it’ll make it.
My Name is Earl – I had high hopes for this show. The first episode was a little slow but there were a few laughs. I’m looking forward to next week.
How I Met Your Mother – A couple of laughs. Nothing to write home about.
A couple of shows that started over the summer that I liked:
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – This is definitely my favorite new show. Sadly, it only had a 7 show run on FX and I doubt they’ll pick it up because of ratings. Seinfeld meets South Park. Heck, this show might be in my top 10 favorite shows of all time.
Weeds – It’s not great but it’s better than most things on tv. It’s very Desperate Housewifish… which might be a bad thing.
Note: I don’t like CSI or CSI inspired shows.

what about reunion? that was a hunk of junk imho – same for prison break. agreed on my name is earl. i LOVE weeds (and i’ve never seen desperate housewives my sunday night lineup is full with fox shows already). i hated it’s always sunny in philly when i watched it (once). i have yet to see any new shows make me say oooh i recording the whole season of that one but some of my old faves are on the DVR – like Arrested Development it only seems to get better
I haven’t seen reunion or prison break… prison break has gotten some decent reviews but I’ll need someone I know to talk it up before I try watching it. It’s a shame you don’t like Sunny but most people don’t. I didn’t like it as much the first time I saw it either.
Weeds is pretty good… my wife watches deperate housewives and I even watched the first 5 or so episodes with her… similar settings between the two shows. Housewives is ok but it was one of those shows where I ended up hating all the characters and quit watching… Six Feet Under was like that for me too. I hated everyone on that show but at least it was still interesting enough for me to keep watching.
Everybody Hates Chris starts tonight on UPN.
I am a huge fan of the fox tv show Prison Break. I started watching it a few weeks ago and I am now totally addicted. I have heard that the new series starts in March, is this true? and do you know the exact date?
